Payment

I currently only accept PayPal, however, you do not need a PayPal account in order to pay with a credit card. I will also put an item on hold for up to one week. Custom orders must be paid in full before I will begin working on them. I do not accept checks, money orders or Paypal e-checks.

Customers living in Nebraska will be charged 5.5% sales tax on purchases.

VERY IMPORTANT INFO FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Total package values over $400 cannot be shipped first class mail, and either must be upgraded to priority or split into two or more packages. Currently, none of my listed items are priced over $400, but this could apply to custom orders or orders combining several items. This is a USPS rule, and cannot be modified. If an order must be split, I will have to ask for additional shipping charges. Thank you for your understanding.

 

Shipping

All in-stock items ship out within 1-2 business days via USPS first class, priority padded envelope, priority express padded envelope, with tracking and insurance (if item is over $100). Priority and priority express orders are placed in another padded mailer inside flat rate padded mailers supplied by USPS. Made to order items and custom orders will ship out upon receipt of any out of stock materials and after work is done. This varies, due to supplier delay. They also are shipped in the same manner as in stock items. If you would prefer another mode of shipping, please contact me.

I am not able to guarantee an exact delivery date, as I must work with suppliers and a caster who makes my settings and they are on their own timetable. I will ship to certain countries first class international, priority, or priority express padded envelope (the item is always placed in another padded mailer inside). I package very securely. Each item is in its own pouch, then placed in a cardboard jewelry box with cotton insert. For first class, I place the box in a small bubble mailer, then in a 6"x10" bubble mailer. I use packing tape on the entire envelope for added protection and security. I do make every effort to secure each purchase for an international shipment, however, if you would prefer to have your purchase shipped in a box, please let me know and I will quote you a price. "MARK AS GIFT"--INTERNATIONAL: If you are an international customer and select "mark as gift" on your order, this means that your packing slip inside will not contain prices, HOWEVER, I MUST include an invoice on the outside of the package to several countries. This is required by these countries' customs. Not doing so can and will result in your package being returned to me. I must also include this information on the customs label. I will only accept a custom order as a return IF the item arrives defective. Please note that I have a special return policy for earrings (see below). Once I receive the item back, I will FULLY REFUND YOUR ORDER. I am not responsible for returns that are lost in the mail. FOR LOST/DAMAGED IN THE MAIL ITEMS: It is my responsibility as a seller to make sure your item reaches you. I always insure every package in case of loss or damage (over $100), however, shipping insurance requires the buyer to fill out a buyer affidavit (it's short). THERE ARE NO RETURNS FOR CUSTOM ORDERS: Custom orders are orders that are worked on by a customer and myself to create something special just for you or someone you are buying for. These can take hours of time working with a customer, which I am happy to do, and the final result is an item a customer wants that is their specific size and preferences. These items are not easily resold, so there are no returns. Customers should be absolutely sure they are ready and pleased with the special custom order prior to purchase. Thank you so much!

EARRINGS RETURN POLICY, PLEASE READ: All earrings will be shipped in a sealed, clear package. Earrings will only be returnable if this package has not been opened in any way. I will not resell earrings that have potentially been tried on, as this is not hygienic. This is the best way for earrings to be viewed, stay unworn and thus, returnable. Thanks!

RETURN POLICY:
I accept returns and exchanges within 14 days of receipt. Custom orders ARE NOT RETURNABLE. If the MADE-TO-ORDER OR PRE-MADE (READY TO SHIP) item is in PERFECT CONDITION (unworn), but you just do not care for it in person, I will refund fully, but if you feel the item is defective, I will cover return shipping costs (UP TO $4.95).

CUSTOM ORDERS:

I will gladly accept custom orders for the majority of the items in my shop (if possible).  I am not able to set your personally owned stone into a setting, nor am I able to set my stones into your settings.  This is considered a "service" and is against Etsy rules.  Custom orders may take up to three weeks  to create usually.  This depends upon whether I have the needed materials in stock or not.

METALS:

ARE YOUR ITEMS MADE WITH SOLID STERLING SILVER AND GOLD?
I work only with solid .925 sterling silver and 10k or 14k solid gold. I do not sell costume jewelry (plated brass).

WILL THE WHITE GOLD BE RHODIUM PLATED?
Unfortunately, I am unable to rhodium plate in my home, as this process requires dangerous chemicals.

IS YOUR WHITE GOLD NICKEL-FREE?
Many of my white gold items are nickel-free. I am currently working on adding that information. Please contact me if a listing does not note it yet.

WILL YOUR STERLING SILVER TARNISH?
Sterling silver has the potential to tarnish as all sterling can. Sterling wants to tarnish naturally due to the alloys reacting with moisture, chemicals or the pH of a person's skin. Tarnish is not permanent, a quick swipe with a polishing cloth usually is enough to keep it at bay. Here is a guide for what to avoid to decrease the chances for it to tarnish:
Avoid the following:
Applying hair colors or permanent solutions while wearing your jewelry
Showering with your jewelry on
Body lotions, hair spray, suntan lotions, or oils of any kind on your jewelry
Sweat, soaps with bleach, eggs, onions and many other items
Even taking certain antibiotics can cause sterling to tarnish
Never removing your jewelry
Swimming in pools/hot tubs/the ocean
Cleaning products for your house
Leaving jewelry out when not wearing them (not in a case/box)

MOISSANITES:
 

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE HEAVY GOLD STUDS, THE CLAW PRONG BASKET AND THE LIGHTWEIGHT BASKET?
The heavy gold studs have a thicker gold basket design and longer post than the claw prong and the lightweight basket. The claw prong is close to the weight of the claw prong, however. The lightweight basket, although lighter weight, is still strong and is by no means flimsy. This option (especially in larger stone sizes), is best for people who have small and/or thin ear lobes.

WILL MY ITEM COME WITH A CERTIFICATE?
I use high quality moissanites that test positive as diamond with a diamond tester (all moissanites will test positive). They do not come with a GRA certificate, however, I will 100% guarantee their authenticity and each moissanite item will come with a signed Shantastic Jewelry certificate of authenticity. CUBIC ZIRCONIA:
 

CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHY YOUR CZS ARE HIGH QUALITY?
The cubic zirconias that I use in my jewelry are the finest diamond simulants you can find for the price.  They are truly "precision faceted" to look as close to a diamond as possible.  The vast majority of czs are not faceted this way.  My czs are made from superior quality rough that will not cloud up over time, since this is caused by czs being made from inferior material that has many tiny bubbles which pop over time causing the cloudiness.  My prices may be higher than other sellers because the czs I buy are some of the best quality to be found anywhere.  They aren't cheap, but very worth it!
PLEASE BEWARE of any sellers who claim to be selling "MAN MADE DIAMONDS" that are not thousands of dollars.  True man made diamonds, lab created diamonds, or synthetic diamonds are identical in every way to a diamond, just made in a lab.  They cost thousands of dollars, are never set in sterling silver and are not made in larger sizes.   A "man-made diamond" is NOT any lab stone that looks like a diamond!  These terms are specifically reserved for "real" lab diamonds that are identical in structure, ie. made of carbon in a lab.  THERE IS NO SUCH ARTIFICIAL STONE THAT IS SOMEHOW BETTER THAN CZ BUT IS NOT MOISSANITE OR "DIAMOND COATED" CZ.  These simulants are very expensive (in the hundreds of dollars).  If a seller says their stones are better than cz, yet not cz and not one of these simulants, they are not being honest with you.
Cubic zirconia material can be made at higher quality standards, but it will always be moh's 8.5 and will not be identical to a diamond in specifications.  In fact, it is a Federal Trade Commission (FTC) violation to misrepresent a cubic zirconia by calling it a "man made diamond."  The term "simulant" MUST be used immediately after the word "diamond" to differentiate it between a "real" lab diamond.  This can be very confusing for consumers, who do not realize they are only buying cubic zirconia when they believe they are buying a "real" diamond, just made in a lab.  That is why I choose to use the exact terminology for what my stones are.   I will NEVER misrepresent the stones I sell.  I will ALWAYS tell you the truth.  Please let me know if you have any questions, I am always happy to help.

WHAT IS THIS G/H/I DESCRIPTION FOR CUBIC ZIRCONIAS BUSINESS?
Most czs come in one shade of white: D color.  Some of my items have very unique "very light yellow tint" czs set in them that look similar to G/H/I/J color diamonds.  THIS IS NOT A SCIENCE.  Grading is just a best guess and may not perfectly match the same color grade of a diamond.

CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE OLD EUROPEAN CUT AND PORTUGUESE CUT?
Here are a list of the characteristics of an old European cut as compared to a Portuguese cut:
Large culet. (The culet is the facet at the bottom of the diamond) (this makes it appear like there is a hole in the bottom, but that is the flattened culet at the bottom (this is pointy in other round cuts, including Portuguese)
A very small table. (The table is the facet at the top of the diamond) (my OEC czs have a wider table than a lot of OEC diamonds) (Portuguese cut also has a smaller table than a round brilliant, about the same as my OECs typically)
OECs and Port cuts both have higher crowns, which go hand in hand with the smaller table. What this means for you is that the very top of the stone will raise up a bit higher from the prongs (my czs do not have that high of crowns, though, not compared to many OEC diamonds)
Old European cut czs have the same number of facets as round brilliant: 58. (Portuguese has a whopping 161 facets! They sparkle like crazy)
Larger facets than modern diamonds which means OECs sparkle more in certain lighting, in particular, candlelight or low lighting. OEC adorers like to call them "chunky facets." They catch and throw off light differently than round brilliant and Portuguese. 
The biggest difference to consider though, is that the OEC is a traditional old world cut for diamonds, and Portuguese cut is a traditional cut for light colored gemstones. In gemstones, the Port cut will retain a heavier pavilion or "body" of the gem. My port cut czs do not do have this in order to fit well into a setting designed for diamonds.

ARE YOUR GEMSTONES REAL?
I will only sell a gemstone if it is genuine or natural. A "genuine" gemstone has had treatments (heating, coating, fissure-filling, etc). A "natural" gemstone is completely without treatments. If a stone is lab created, I will always note that. I will never qualify a lab stone as genuine.  I always purchase my natural/genuine gemstones from USA dealers.

CAN I NEGOTIATE YOUR PRICES?
I try very hard to keep my prices as low as possible.  I will not charge exorbitant prices, however, my prices listed are as is.  I will not "haggle" with anyone over my prices. Thank you for your understanding.

PLEASE BE ADVISED:  I DO NOT MAKE MY OWN SETTINGS, so I cannot control how long it takes to receive a setting from my casters.  Also, as they are human, they sometimes make a mistake and I may need to return the setting for them to make a new one.  This pushes the "ship-by" date out even further.  I appreciate your patience during this production time.  Thank you!

HOW TO CLEAN MY PIECES: To clean your sterling silver or solid gold jewelry, all you need to do is gently brush it with a soft toothbrush, warm water and mild detergent, like dish soap, then rinse and dry with a tea towel.  To keep the silver or gold looking shiny and new, just polish with a polishing cloth made for gold and silver, these are inexpensive and easy to find.
