PLEASE NOTE: Iolites are highly pleochroic. This means that in different lighting situations when the stone is moved or viewed from the side, other colors beside the main dark violet blue can be seen. This is quite normal and indicative of iolite. Colors that may be seen are yellow, green and clear (not the entire stone, just part of it).
