Oval-Cut Lab Ruby East-West Ring • 8x6mm, Sterling Silver, Size 5

This is a sterling silver horizontally set (east/west) oval lab created ruby ring. The stone is a high quality oval cut deep red lab created ruby (resembles the highly valued "pigeon blood" rubies). It is faceted in a mixed brilliant cut to better simulate a natural ruby. The setting is six prongs and lower profile.
The ring has a band width of 2mm.

Regarding the rubies I use: I only use lab created rubies (corundum made in a lab). I never use simulated rubies, ie, any material that is not corundum.

The sterling setting was made using deox sterling silver, a special sterling that uses alloys which are more tarnish resistant. Please note that more humid climates may cause any sterling to tarnish more quickly.
