This lovely ring is set with a precision faceted mixed brilliant cut oval lab white sapphire (faceting is the same as natural sapphire faceting style). The ring has double prongs and is lower profile.
Band width: 4mm near the stone, tapering to 2mm in back
Stone sizes:
8x6mm: About 1. 5 carats
9x7mm: About 2.4 carats
10x8mm: About 3.4 carats
12x10mm: About 6 carats (listing example)

ABOUT LAB SAPPHIRES:
Lab sapphires are identical in every way to natural sapphires, except they were not mined from the earth. This stone has a Moh's hardness of 9, just as earth mined sapphires.
This setting was made using deox sterling silver, a special sterling that uses alloys which are more tarnish resistant. Please note that more humid climates may cause any sterling to tarnish more quickly.
