This is a beautiful ring set with a deep red elongated cushion lab created ruby (resembles the highly valued "pigeon blood" rubies). I have these beautiful stones cut specially for the shop. They are mixed brilliant cut like most natural rubies. This setting features double prongs.
Stone size:
10x8mm sapphire: 3.70 carats
12x10mm (6.5 carats average)
Metal option:
Sterling silver
(Gold available upon request)
The sterling setting was made using deox sterling silver, a special sterling that uses alloys which are more tarnish resistant. Please note that more humid climates may cause any sterling to tarnish more quickly.
ABOUT LAB RUBIES:
Lab rubies are identical in every way to natural rubies, except they were not mined from the earth. This stone has a Moh's hardness of 9, just as earth mined rubies.
